Zodiac

“There's more than one way to lose your life to a killer.”

Robert Graysmith (Jake Gyllenhaal) draws cartoons for a San Francisco newspaper, and he wants to solve the ciphers the Zodiac Killer mails to the paper. Detective David Toschi (Mark Ruffalo) and reporter Paul Avery (Robert Downey Jr.) are working the same case, which began in the late 1960s with taunting letters and bloodstained clothing. David Fincher fills the film with the paper, the files, and the newsroom, a place where the letters keep arriving.
