Zoot Suit

“An American original.”

Los Angeles, the early 1940s, and Henry Reyna (Daniel Valdez) leads a group of Mexican-American friends sent to San Quentin for a death at Sleepy Lagoon, with almost no evidence against them. Luis Valdez stages the case as a musical, with El Pachuco (Edward James Olmos) in a zoot suit as its narrator. Alice Bloomfield (Tyne Daly) and George Shearer (Charles Aidman) join the defense committee, and Henry has to decide whether he can trust the people fighting for him.
