A woman's voice reads from an early grammar textbook, and then the talking stops for most of an hour. What replaces it is a 24-letter alphabet, shown one second per letter, that keeps cycling while its letters are swapped out for other images. Hollis Frampton fixes the camera in place and builds the whole film from that single, repeating unit.
